Sam oversees and ensures that all VMS Clinical Educators provide the highest level of healthcare professional/patient education as our educator networks exceed the objectives of each client.

Sam joined VMS in 2014 as national director of field operations and became vice president of field educator networks in 2017. Passion is a main ingredient in what Sam brings to VMS. His unique personality and leadership abilities help VMS continue developing innovative strategies for patient and HCP education.

Sam's extensive experience in a wide range of healthcare segments gives him the ability to effectively provide strategic direction to VMS field leaders, educators, and the executive team. Sam excels in making our clients' visions come to life through building, motivating, and implementing VMS clinical educator teams.

Prior to working at VMS, Sam worked at Eli Lilly and Company in multiple senior positions and led a national sales force, developed sales plans that grew market share and evaluated new business opportunities. Following this, he managed his own consulting business where he worked in senior care and specialty markets and focused on market identification, brand and sales strategy, and sales leadership development.

Sam studied at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where he received his BS in environmental biology, and later studied at the University of South Carolina-Columbia where he obtained his BS in pharmacy.
