Abigail Mallon

Abigail Mallon drives the strategic direction, thought leadership, and vision necessary to innovate on all client-facing products and services. In her role, she provides intensive focus in patient engagement and reimagining of the end-to-end patient experience. She is deeply committed to the advancements taking place in biopharma and passionate about improving patients’ lives by empowering them with knowledge, emotional support, and resources. With a 20-year tenure at VMS, Mallon led the development and execution of the company’s first patient engagement programs and has since led all account teams in patient engagement and medication adherence initiatives, empowering hundreds of thousands of patients and healthcare professionals across multiple device, pharmaceutical, and healthcare brands.
Abigail also leads the HR team in recruitment and employee engagement, ensuring positive advancement of the VMS company culture, DE&I activities, and employee career development. She helps ensure that VMS is always bringing new and diverse perspectives to the workplace in order to improve and create a better experience for our employees, patients, and communities we serve.
A seasoned executive with bio brands, Abigail is a frequent speaker and panelist on patient adherence topics, Clinical Nurse Educator solutions, compliance, and patient support services at pharma industry conferences. She has developed a product innovation program at VMS that includes a handbook of tools and regular labs that create a culture of innovation. She works constantly to stay on top of patient needs and market trends that drive innovation in providing best-in-class Clinical Nurse Educator solutions.
Abigail earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University, majoring in psychology. She has been a contributor to PM360 magazine, FirstWord Pharma, Pharmaceutical Executive magazine, PharmaVOICE magazine, and Medical Meetings Magazine, and she is a former executive board member and vice president of the Indiana and Chicago chapters of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA). She currently serves as a member of the Executive Advisory Council for the Indiana HBA chapter. She was named an HBA Luminary in 2019 and inducted into the MM+M magazine Hall of Femme in 2021.
